Onboarding

Onboarding begins when we receive a signed contract and the deposit is paid. This phase takes approximately one month. We don’t rush the process because this step is crucial to setting your business up for success. As we progress through onboarding, you’ll begin to feel less stressed and more at ease. This phase most often includes:

  • Creating a custom checklist and plan of action

  • Auditing chart of accounts and financial statements

  • Assessing current tools, software, and accounts

  • A 60-minute virtual meeting to understand clients, vendors, accounts, and operations 

  • Setting up software and accounts to streamline and improve financial workflow

  • 30-minute virtual onboarding wrap-up to review completed work and set clear expectations on reporting, workflow, plans, and more

Connect & Assess

We want to know what’s going well and what’s not working. We’ll do a quick review of your books so we can get an accurate understanding of your current situation and needs. Once we’ve got a handle on what you need, we’ll send a customized proposal over for your approval.

Ongoing Engagement

This is where you’ll really start to feel the overwhelm melt away. Once onboarding is complete and things are set up, you can rely on us to execute the plan. This ongoing work is different for every company, but always includes:

  • Reliable data and a clear picture of your finances, helping you make real-time business decisions

I got my start with business management in 2003 when my dad founded a commercial construction company. He needed some office help and I jumped right in. Over time, my responsibilities expanded. This gave me space to grow my natural talents of finance and administration. I loved supporting my dad and his team. A few answers to a few questions

  • On paper, we're a company you contract for bookkeeping. But in practice, we’re your business’ BFF. We’re here to champion your work through our work.

    How we work together in the day-to-day will be discussed in the proposal and onboarding process. You’ll have a clear understanding of how we’ll work together and what to expect.

  • We don’t offer CPA services (yet). But working with a bookkeeper is like prepping for tax season all year. Getting things in order makes tax season less stressful and rushed because you’re already organized. If you’re looking for a CPA, we’re happy to help you find one.

  • No business is too small, everyone needs bookkeeping! We work with solopreneurs, partnerships, mom and pops, and small to medium sized businesses.

    No matter how big or small, don’t let your business size or revenue keep you from reaching out. More than anything, we want to work with people who are passionate about their work.

  • We’ve worked with a surprising variety of small businesses. Some of our clients include companies in branding, marketing, construction, consulting, and even custom upholstery.

  • I’m happy to help out as needed and will send you a price quote before we get started.

  • No. There are many variables that affect pricing, and each client will receive a customized quote before we begin work. Because pricing is set up at the beginning, you’ll know what to expect up front.

  • Onboarding begins when we receive a signed contract and the deposit is paid. This phase takes approximately one month, but it can vary depending on several factors. If it will take longer than 30 days, we’ll let you know up front. We don’t rush the process because this step is crucial to setting your business up for success.

    If you’re really in a rush, we can expedite the onboarding process for an additional one-time fee that is outlined in your proposal.

  • No. Inside Out does not perform clerical or executive tasks like booking flights, scheduling, calendar management, event planning, or errands.
